The Arcteryx Beta Coat Women's is a lightweight, unlined shell jacket made for keeping you dry on damp days out on the hill or around town. Its straightforward design focuses on shedding rain and wind without extra bulk, so you can layer underneath however you like.

Built on a 3-layer GORE-TEX construction, this jacket pairs a tough outer fabric with a waterproof membrane and an inner protective layer. That means it stands up to scrapes from branches or backpacks, seals out water at the seams and still lets sweat vapor escape—so you won’t feel clammy during a brisk hike.

GORE-TEX works by sandwiching a very thin, porous membrane between two fabrics. The pores are too small for liquid water to pass through but large enough to let water vapor out. In simple terms, rain stays out while your body heat and moisture get a route to escape, keeping you dry inside and out.
