Splitboard accessories gather the parts that keep a touring setup efficient and dependable. From uphill grip to solid board connection and simple field fixes, the right pieces improve glide, traction, transition speed and service life.

Climbing skins form the foundation. Nylon offers durable grip, mohair glides best, and mixed fabrics balance both. Pre-cut options are quick; trim-to-fit provides an exact outline. Tail clips keep skins secure in cold or wet conditions. Basic care—drying glue, using skin savers, and occasional skin wax—maintains stick and reduces icing.

Interface and binding hardware includes pucks, touring brackets, heel risers, pins or bolts, and spare screws. Compatibility with the board’s insert pattern and the binding system (for example Voile-style, Spark or Karakoram interfaces) prevents play and speeds transitions. Carrying a few T‑nuts, washers and a small threadlocker helps avoid loose parts mid-tour.

Splitboard crampons add bite on firm sidehills where edge hold is limited. Selecting a width close to the board’s waist avoids drag. Many models attach without removing the binding, saving time when the snow surface changes.

Adjustable poles support balance on steeper skin tracks and during kick turns. Three-piece designs pack down easily. Aluminum prioritizes durability; carbon reduces swing weight. Long foam grips and winter baskets improve comfort and flotation in deep or variable snow.

Care and repair items keep the setup running. Skin glue renew kits, base wax, scraper and edge tools address day-to-day maintenance. Small field repair kits with a multi-tool, spare straps and bolts help resolve minor issues on route. Storage bags protect skins and hardware between tours.

Fit and compatibility matter more than weight alone. Matching skin length and width to board dimensions, selecting crampon width correctly, and choosing hardware for the right interface reduces problems later.
