The RAB Alpine 400 Women’s is a mummy-style down sleeping bag built for three-season adventures, offering a snug fit that retains heat while keeping bulk to a minimum. With a length of 200 cm, it’s best suited for users up to around 170 cm tall.
Its 650FP R.D.S.-certified European duck down is treated with Nikwax’s fluorocarbon-free hydrophobic finish to help the insulation stay lofty even in damp conditions. The 30D recycled Pertex® Quantum shell with a durable water repellent finish sheds light rain and wind, and the 20D recycled nylon liner feels soft against the skin. Weighing just 810 g, this sleeping bag slips easily into a backpack without adding extra bulk.
Fill power measures the down’s loft—650FP means each ounce of down traps plenty of warm air for minimal weight. The hydrophobic treatment causes water to bead off down clusters rather than soak in, so the fill dries faster and maintains warmth. A DWR (durable water repellent) coating on the Pertex Quantum fabric makes droplets roll off the surface, while its tight weave blocks drafts yet still lets moisture vapor escape.
