The Elan Playmaker 101 is a freeride ski built for riders who spend more time off-piste than on groomers. With a mid-width profile and a balanced sidecut, it’s aimed at skiers looking to explore varied terrain—from soft snow to mixed conditions—without feeling overpowered or under-skied.

At 180 cm, the Playmaker 101 features a waist width of 101 mm, offering enough surface area to stay buoyant in powder while remaining nimble on firm snow. The tip and tail widths (132/122 mm) combine with that 101 mm waist to deliver stability at speed and smooth edge-to-edge transitions. And since these skis come with a flat mounting zone, you’re free to choose bindings that suit your personal setup.

The 18.1 m radius refers to the sidecut curve of the ski at this length: a slightly larger turn radius helps maintain control in open slopes and longer arcs, while still allowing for snappy responses when you need to pivot quickly. Flat mounting means the ski topsheet is level where bindings attach, so you can fit a range of binding styles without any lift plates or adaptors.
