The Elan Ace SL is a dedicated slalom ski built for skiers who want to carve tight, dynamic turns on groomed pistes. It’s designed for short-turn racing and quick edge changes.
Thanks to its 13.5-meter radius and pronounced sidecut (122/69/105 mm at 169 cm), the Ace SL responds immediately when you press into a turn, offering a lively feel without feeling twitchy. The Elan EMX 12.0 GW Fusion binding system integrates seamlessly with the ski, providing solid power transfer and easy step-in compatibility with GripWalk soles.
The turn radius describes the size of the arc the ski naturally follows when tilted on edge—a smaller radius like 13.5 m means tighter, more responsive turns. The sidecut measurements (tip/waist/tail) determine how quickly you can switch edges: a narrower waist helps you roll from one edge to the other with minimal effort, while the wider tip and tail give stability during each carve.

Elan says about the Ace SL
Built with the DNA of the SLX Fusion in a more manageable construction, the SL Fusion is a race car that leaves enough fuel in the tank for all day carving enjoyment. The Elan SL Fusion X is a true versatile slalom carver. A bit more forgiving than the SLX, this is the ski of choice for charging hard, yet forgiving enough for smooth easy piste skiing. For added feel and agility in perfectly connected slalom turns, we used Elan's innovative Ace Arrow Technology. This innovation employs an arrow shaped layer of titanal that loads extra energy to the edges. Camber profile helps with a quick entry in the turn, as well as stability. Lifted Fusion X binding system boosts reactions in the tip of the ski and adds additional turn entry quickness This ski also comes with RST Sidewalls, Laminated Woodcore, and a sheet of titanal. A ski for classic slalom enthusiasts!
