The North Face Terra 55 is a 55-liter backpack built for multi-day hikes and extended outdoor trips. With room for your shelter, sleep system and extras, it’s aimed at those who need a reliable carry solution without unnecessary frills.

At 73 × 28 × 28 cm and 1.75 kg, the Terra 55 strikes a balance between capacity and manageability. The straightforward design means you can load it up without wrestling with countless pockets, while the open-top compartment and side access let you reach essentials on the trail. It isn’t waterproof, so pairing it with a rain cover will help keep your gear dry during sudden showers.

The adjustable suspension accommodates a range of torso lengths: the S/M setting fits back lengths from 40 to 48 cm and the L/XL from 45 to 53 cm. Being able to fine-tune the harness helps distribute weight more evenly across your hips and shoulders, reducing fatigue on longer treks.

The cinch top expands to accommodate extra gear and the compression straps help you cinch it all in to create a more streamlined shape. There are trekking pole and ice axe attachments; it features an internal water bladder pocket and the large front pocket comes in very handy for quick access stashing of your shell layer.
