Inside, the Vantage W Mips uses Hybrid SL construction to blend a hard outer shell with lighter in-mold sections, giving you a sturdy feel without extra weight. Ventilation channels are built in to help manage airflow and keep you from overheating during long runs. And with MIPS technology, there’s an additional low-friction layer that’s meant to improve your safety in certain angled impacts.

MIPS stands for Multi-directional Impact Protection System. It’s essentially a thin, sliding layer inside the helmet that can move slightly on impact, aiming to reduce the amount of twisting force transferred to your head in a crash.
