The Smith Accel Mips is a men’s ski helmet designed to offer reliable head protection on the slopes. It’s part of Smith’s range of helmets without a built-in visor and comes equipped with key safety and comfort features.
Featuring In-Mold construction, the Accel Mips bonds a lightweight polycarbonate shell directly to its foam liner, resulting in a sturdy yet low-profile design. Integrated ventilation channels maintain airflow to help manage temperature during extended runs. On top of that, built-in MIPS technology provides additional defense against rotational forces in the event of an impact.
MIPS stands for Multi-directional Impact Protection System, which is a low-friction layer inside the helmet allowing slight movement between your head and the shell during angled impacts to reduce rotational force. In-Mold construction means the shell and foam liner are molded together in one process, making the helmet both lighter and more compact compared to traditional two-piece designs.
