Salomon X Ultra 5 Mid GTX

The Salomon X Ultra 5 Mid GTX is a men’s mid-cut hiking and multisport high shoe, built for Hike Light (AB) outings. It blends support and protection with a Gore-Tex membrane to handle varied trail conditions and changing weather.

The synthetic and textile upper keeps the shoe light without sacrificing durability, while the regular width accommodates a broad range of foot shapes comfortably. The mid-cut profile helps stabilise the ankle on uneven ground, and Salomon’s All Terrain Contagrip outsole delivers reliable traction across loose dirt, rocky sections and mixed surfaces.

Gore-Tex is a waterproof, breathable membrane that stops water from entering the shoe while allowing internal moisture to escape, helping to keep feet dry in wet conditions. All Terrain Contagrip refers to Salomon’s specialised rubber compound and tread pattern, engineered to balance grip and durability so you maintain traction as terrain changes.
