The Robens Lodge 2 Exp is a tunnel-style tent designed for two people who want a reliable, midweight shelter on the trail. It strikes a balance between strength and packability, making it a solid choice for weekend getaways or multi-day trips where you need dependable protection without hauling excessive weight.
With its recycled Hydrotex HD flysheet and breathable polyester inner, the Lodge 2 Exp balances durability and comfort. Anodised #7001 aluminium poles provide stable support, while the PU-coated taffeta groundsheet stands up to rough terrain. At 2.8 kg and packing down to roughly 48 x 18 cm, it slips easily into a backpack, and the tunnel shape creates a generous sleeping area with extra vestibule space. The included repair kit, guy lines and pegs mean you have what you need to set up and handle small fixes on the go.
“Ripstop” refers to a grid of stronger threads woven into the fabric to stop small tears from spreading, so your tent stays intact if it brushes against rocks or branches. Denier (D) measures the thickness of the fabric’s threads—higher numbers like 70D or 75D indicate tougher material that resists wear. The PU coating on the groundsheet adds a waterproof barrier at ground level, and anodised aluminium resists corrosion for long-lasting pole strength.
