Product Description

The Robens Chaser 1 LW is a one-person ultralight tunnel tent designed for hikers and backpackers who need a compact shelter that doesn’t weigh them down. It offers a comfortable balance of floor space and headroom while fitting easily into a small pack.

The outer tent is made from Hydrotex Nylon RS, a 20D ripstop fabric with a high thread count that combines strength with low weight, and the inner tent uses fine 20D mesh for ventilation and insect protection. Anodised #7001 aluminium poles provide sturdy support without adding bulk, and the tent’s total weight of just 1.25 kg means it’s easy to carry on longer treks. Pack size is a tidy 35 × 12 cm, and a repair kit, guy lines and pegs are included so you can handle minor fixes in the field.

20D refers to the fineness of the nylon threads—thinner threads make for a lighter fabric—while ripstop means a reinforcing grid is woven in to prevent tears from spreading. The 380T thread count indicates a dense weave that boosts durability, and the PU coating on the groundsheet adds a protective layer against moisture. Anodising the #7001 aluminium poles helps prevent corrosion, ensuring reliable performance over time without adding extra weight.
