The RAB Firewall Jacket is a three-layer shell designed to keep you protected against rain, wind and harsh mountain weather. It works well as an outer layer in a variety of conditions, whether you’re moving fast on a trail run or taking on steep alpine routes.

Constructed with a 100% polyamide outer fabric and featuring Pertex Shield technology, this jacket brings together durability and breathability. The three-layer build integrates the face fabric, waterproof membrane and inner lining into one cohesive piece, reducing bulk and minimizing seams where moisture can enter. That means you stay drier inside when you’re pushing your pace in wet conditions.

Pertex Shield is a waterproof, breathable laminate that combines a tightly woven fabric with a fine membrane to block external water while allowing sweat vapor to escape. Polyamide, commonly known as nylon, offers a strong yet lightweight shell fabric that resists abrasion on rock and through brush, making the Firewall Jacket a dependable choice for technical routes and backcountry adventures.
