Product Description

The Formby Beach Shelter from Outwell is a lightweight, compact cover designed to give you a bit of extra privacy and protection when you’re spending time on the sand. It’s intended as a simple windscreen and sunshade, making outdoor relaxation at the beach more comfortable.

Constructed with Outtex® UV polyester, this shelter helps block the sun’s rays and shrug off light moisture, while the 8.5 mm Duratec fiberglass poles hold the structure firmly in place even when a breeze picks up. At 210 cm wide and 285 cm deep, it offers enough space for a couple of loungers or a small group of friends, and the integrated groundsheet stops sand and dampness from creeping in. When packed away it measures just 113 × 10 cm and weighs 2.5 kg, so it slips easily into your day pack.

Outtex UV fabric is polyester treated with a protective coating that improves resistance to UV damage and light rain, helping the shelter stand up to sunny, breezy beach days. The 8.5 mm fiberglass poles balance flexibility with strength, providing a sturdy frame without adding much weight. A sewn-in groundsheet creates a sealed floor, which reduces drafts from below and keeps small debris out.
