The Nomad Orion 180 XL is a lightweight mummy-style sleeping bag built for summer nights on the trail, offering comfort down to about 11 °C. With its extra-long cut and slim profile, it’s aimed at campers who want minimal bulk without sacrificing room to stretch out.
Filled entirely with 3D-Polardown insulation, the Orion 180 XL combines the lofty warmth of traditional down with the moisture resistance and quick-dry properties of synthetic fill. Its ultra-fine 15 D polyester shell and matching 15 D nylon lining (both PFC-free and treated with Polygiene) keep the weight low at just 600 g while maintaining durability and odor control. When stowed in its 22 × 22 × 11.5 cm stuff sack, it slips easily into any pack.
3D-Polardown is a proprietary synthetic fill that mimics natural down clusters, creating thousands of tiny air pockets to trap warmth efficiently. The denier rating (15 D) refers to the fineness of the fabric’s fibers—thinner fibers mean lighter materials without sacrificing strength. Polygiene treatment uses silver salt technology to inhibit odor-causing bacteria, so the bag stays fresher longer between washes.
