The Nitro Nomad Splitboard 21/22 is built for riders who want to venture beyond groomed slopes and access backcountry terrain under their own power. As a splitboard, it separates into two ski-like halves for touring uphill and then clicks back together for a snowboard descent.

With its directional shape, the Nomad favors forward momentum and reliable edge hold whether you’re climbing or dropping in. The flat-out rocker profile combines a flat section between the bindings for stability and mild rocker in the tip and tail to help with float in softer snow. A flex rating of 6 gives the board a balanced feel—stiff enough to track straight at speed but still responsive when you need to make quick turns.

“Flat-out rocker” means the board has a flat section underfoot for solid contact with the snow and gentle upward curves at the ends to reduce catching in powder. A directional shape places a bit more material towards the tail for easier tracking on steep ascents and smoother carving on the way down. The flex score, measured on a scale from 1 (soft) to 10 (stiff), indicates a mid-stiff board that suits a wide range of conditions without feeling overly rigid.
