The Altai from Nidecker is a men’s freeride snowboard boot designed to handle varied terrain and conditions. It’s built for riders who want a balanced boot with reliable support whether you’re carving down groomers or exploring off-piste lines.

With a medium volume fit and a Flex 7 rating, the Altai strikes a balance between responsiveness and comfort. The freeride focus means the boot offers stability at higher speeds and solid edge hold during hard turns, while the medium volume keeps the fit adaptable for a range of foot shapes without feeling too snug or too loose.

The Flex 7 designation refers to the boot’s stiffness on a scale where lower numbers are softer and higher numbers are stiffer. A 7 provides enough rigidity to transmit power efficiently to your board, helping with precise control, while still allowing some flex for comfort during long days on the mountain.

The Altai is the centrepiece of the new Nidecker boot collection, offering premium features and freeride-friendly support at an unbeatable price. It’s built around an asymmetrical upper that fits perfectly with Nidecker and Flow binding straps, eliminating pressure points. The Dual BOA lacing system features textile-coated laces and twin dials to allow you to control the upper and lower sections independently. Underneath, our lightweight B.F.T Gravity 2.0 outsole delivers awesome cushioning and traction, with a rubber toe-tip to boost grip when hiking over ice and rock. We’ve smoothed out the connection between the outsole and the boot via a molded section we call the Transition Zone, eliminating the usual hard edge to prevent it from getting caught in your binding’s heelcup. A tough rubber print on the toe box protects the boot and adds a touch more style. Inside, there’s a new heat-moldable Silver liner, allowing you to customize the fit if you need to but which is comfortable straight out the box. The Altai is a mid-stiff model with plenty of lateral support, making it great for digging trenches in the piste or floating through forests with pinpoint accuracy.
