The K2 Hypnotist is a freestyle snowboard designed for advanced riders who spend their days carving up the park and exploring the resort. It’s built to handle jumps, rails, and switch laps with equal confidence, giving you a versatile ride from first chair to last call.
Its true twin shape means the board feels the same whether you’re riding regular or switch, making landings and spins more predictable. The camber profile delivers a solid pop off kickers and reliable edge hold on harder snow, while the medium-stiff flex (rated 7 out of 10) keeps the board lively underfoot without feeling overly rigid.
Camber refers to the slight upward arch under the center of the board when it’s laid flat, which stores energy and releases it as a powerful rebound. The flex rating scale runs from 1 (very soft) to 10 (very stiff), and at level 7 the Hypnotist balances responsiveness for carving and jump takeoffs with enough dampening to smooth out rough landings.

K2 says about the Hypnotist
The internal team at K2 Snowboarding has been dreaming of the Hypnotist for a few years, and there is no better time than the present to release our baby. This all-new premium freestyle snowboard is built for the more advanced to expert snowboarder, transitions, on hips, and on medium to large terrain park features.
We leaned on our trusty tri-blend BAP core as the foundation for the Hypnotist. We’ve added our Carbon DarkWeb™ to speed up transitions from edge to edge, and our new tip-to-tail Carbon Backbone™ to increase snap.
To help you spin that extra 180 degrees, reduce swingweight, and decrease chatter in the tip and tail, we’ve replaced the tip and tail of the core with our SpaceGlass™ construction, lighter and harder than wood, SpaceGlass™ puts the Hypnotist in a league all of it’s own. We finish it all off with a wax-infused 4001 Sintered Base from Crown - the hardest, fastest, base material that they offer.
