The Real Dome Lite III from Jack Wolfskin is a three-person dome tent designed for lightweight camping and backpacking. It gives you enough room to sleep and stow gear without weighing down your pack.
Its outer tent is made from 20D recycled polyamide, keeping things light yet reasonably tough on the trail. Inside, a 15D mosquito mesh offers good airflow and insect protection, while the 40D floor fabric holds up against stones and rough ground. You also get a storage bag and a small repair kit, so you can pack neatly and handle minor tears without fuss.
Denier (D) measures yarn thickness in the fabric: 20D means finer threads for lower pack weight, and 40D means thicker threads for extra durability under the tent. This balance helps the tent stay lightweight yet resilient on uneven or abrasive surfaces.

Jack Wolfskin says about the Real Dome Lite III
The REAL DOME LITE III is a very light and spacious dome tent with two vestibules and sleeps three people in comfort. The flysheet and groundsheet are made of recycled material. The inner tent consists of breathable fabric.
The specially designed DAC aluminum pole framework makes the tent easy to pitch and extremely stable in the wind. The two air vents in the roof, two doors and four screened mesh panels deliver optimal ventilation.
The flysheet fabric is coated with silicone on both sides. This reduces the weight significantly and increases the tear resistance and UV resistance of the fabric.
Since conventional seam tape does not adhere well to silicon coated (tent) fabrics, we have instead used a special yarn that expands when damp to seal the seams. However, we would also recommend applying an appropriate silicone sealant (available online) to the relevant seams.
