Product Description

The Venus III Extreme is a three-person dome tent from Exped, built for campers who want a blend of durability and manageable pack size on multi-day trips. Its design focuses on straightforward shelter and reliable performance without unnecessary extras.

Featuring a silicone-coated 40D ripstop nylon outer layer, this tent stands up to abrasions and light wear, while the inner tent uses 30D ripstop nylon and fine 20D No-See-Um mesh to keep insects out and encourage airflow. The groundsheet is made from 70D taffeta nylon, offering a robust barrier against rough or damp ground. Guy lines, pegs and a compact carry bag are all included, so you’re ready to pitch as soon as you’ve unpacked.

Denier (D) is a measure of fabric thickness: higher denier numbers usually indicate tougher, heavier cloth. The silicone coating on the outer fabric boosts tear resistance and helps moisture from condensation bead off. You’ll notice two weights listed—3.6 kg full weight and 3.2 kg trail weight—meaning you can opt to leave behind certain accessories to drop about 400 g from your pack when you need to travel lighter.

De Venus III Extreme is geschikt voor 4-seizoenen. Door de stabiele constructie zijn wind, regen en sneeuw geen probleem.

Het klassieke ontwerp van Exped resulteert in een ruime tent met twee ingangen. Zo hebben allebei de gebruikers een eigen deur en ruimte voor bagage. Allebei de ingangen zijn voorzien van een voortent voor nog meer ruimte.

Ventilatieopeningen aan weerszijden en de bovenzijde van de tent zorgen dat condensatie aanzienlijk wordt vermindert.
