The Exped Ultra 7R MW Mummy is a lightweight inflatable sleeping pad designed for campers and backpackers who need reliable insulation in cold weather. It strikes a balance between compact packing and enough cushion to sleep comfortably on uneven ground.
This pad uses a recycled 20D ripstop polyester shell that stands up to small tears, and it’s Oeko-Tex 100 certified to ensure it’s free from harmful substances. Filled with 700 cuin RDS-certified down, it packs down to about 23 × 13.5 × 9 cm, while inflating to a 183 × 65 × 7 cm sleeping surface. At 0.655 kg, it falls into the light category for sleeping mats—easy enough to carry without adding too much bulk, yet warm enough for chilly nights.
The R-value of 7.1 indicates strong resistance to heat loss, making this pad suitable for temperatures down to around –30 °C. Fill power, measured in cubic inches per ounce (cuin), reflects the loft and insulating efficiency of the down: a higher number means more warmth for less weight.
