Its recycled 20D ripstop polyester upper adds durability, while the 160 g/m² Texpedloft microfibre insulation helps trap heat. The Ultra 5R’s R-value of 5 indicates strong thermal resistance, meaning it effectively reduces heat loss to the ground and is rated for temperatures down to –20 °C. In practical terms, a higher R-value helps you stay warmer in cold conditions. The ripstop weave in the polyester fabric adds tear resistance, and the Texpedloft insulation mimics down’s loft to maintain warmth even when damp.
