The SIM Comfort Duo 7.5 from Exped is a two-person sleeping mat made to offer warmth and cushioning on cold-weather camping trips. It’s built for conditions down to –28 °C, so you can count on it when the temperatures drop.

With a 7.5 cm-thick open-cell PU foam core and a recycled 50 D stretch tricot polyester top laminated with TPU, this mat strikes a balance between plush comfort and dependable insulation. The generous 125 cm width gives ample room for two, and when you need to pack up it compresses to roughly 63 × 22 cm for easier transport in your pack.

The stated R-value of 7 indicates strong resistance to heat loss through the mat, meaning it holds in warmth effectively for winter use. Open-cell foam works by trapping air in countless tiny pockets, and the TPU mesh laminate adds durability without relying on extra surface coatings.
