Product Description

The Orion III UL by Exped is a three-person ultralight tunnel tent suited for backpackers looking to keep their packs light without sacrificing communal space. Its streamlined profile and simple pole layout provide a reliable shelter on multi-day trips where every gram and cubic centimetre counts.

The tent’s outer canopy and inner pitch are both cut from 15D ripstop nylon, with PU coating and factory-taped seams to shed moisture, while the fine No-See-Um mesh keeps even the smallest insects at bay. A tougher 40D ripstop-nylon floor resists abrasion from rough ground, and the complete system—including guy lines, stakes and a compact carry bag—packs down to 40 × 24 cm and weighs just 3.0 kg (2.65 kg in Trailweight trim).

In fabric terms, “15D” and “40D” refer to denier, or the thickness of individual yarns: lower denier means lighter weight, higher denier offers greater durability. The ripstop weave prevents small tears from spreading, and the 20D No-See-Um mesh balances air circulation with effective insect protection, so you can rest easy without bugs inside your tent.

De Orion III UL is een lichtgewicht tent die zelfs in het zwaarste weer een robuust en comfortabel onderkomen biedt.

Er is ruimschoots genoeg ruimte voor drie personen in de binnentent. De binnentent is voorzien van twee ingangen, een dubbele deur met No-See-Um muskietengaas en meerdere ventilatie opties.

Harde wind, regen en sneeuw zijn geen probleem voor deze expeditie tent. Zo zorgt de doorlopende nokboog voor extra stabiliteit en sluit de buitentent strak aan op de grond. Zo krijgt de wind geen vat op de tent.

Met de Orion III UL kun je elk avontuur aan.
