The Arcteryx Gamma MX Hoody is a midweight softshell jacket designed to bridge the gap between a base layer and a full shell. Its purpose is to provide stretch, light weather resistance and breathability for active pursuits like hiking, climbing or general trail use.
Constructed from 84% nylon and 16% elastane with Arcteryx’s Fortius 2.0™ technology, this hoody delivers stretch and abrasion resistance, letting you move freely on uneven terrain. The regular fit balances layering space with a streamlined profile, while the hood adds coverage when conditions change. A durable water-repellent (DWR) finish helps shed light moisture, and Bluesign approval reflects reduced environmental impact during production.
Fortius 2.0™ is Arcteryx’s proprietary fabric that combines nylon’s toughness with elastane’s flexibility, so the jacket resists wear without feeling restrictive. DWR refers to a treatment that makes water bead up and roll off the surface. Bluesign certification means the materials and processes used meet strict standards for chemical management and resource efficiency.
